The Project Management Certificate requires the completion of four courses which have been developed to build well-rounded project management skills. Each course has been designed to build upon the previous course. Therefore, to maximize your experience in the classes and in the program as a whole, we recommend that you take courses in the following order:
The Project Management certificate is intended for new or experienced project managers, or other professionals who manage and participate in projects at work. Our students have an average of two to four years of experience working on projects with a range from zero to 10 years of experience or more. Our program focuses on the issues of managers who have the responsibility, but not always the authority to execute work and manage teams. We recognize the need to address multiple approaches to project completion and understand the concepts behind processes used to plan, schedule, and monitor work. We have especially designed the program to have balance, including those crucial communication and leadership skills to make the technical more effective.

Credit
Because the courses are designed to provide immediately applicable skills and a highly interactive environment, they offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs), instead of academic units. These are useful for earning and retaining professional certifications of all kinds. CEU’s are 1/10 the classroom hours, thus a 15 hour class is equal to 1.5 CEUs.
The courses are also qualify (level 4 - for audit) for PMI (Project Management International) as education contact hours required to apply for certification, as well as professional development units (PDUs) required to renew PMP certification. PDU’s are equivalent to classroom hours, thus a 15 hour class is equal to 15 PDUs. PDUs must be reported through PMI. Please check the PMI website for details.

Registration process
Classes often tend to fill quickly, sometimes a month before the class starts. You can find the status of the class on the registration page. If the class is full, you can contact the Registration desk at the number above to put yourself on the waitlist. You might be contacted in the case of someone dropping out, but please do not show up to the class on that morning in the hope that a space is available. The classrooms are not large enough to accommodate more than the class maximum of 32. If you not able to get a space in the particular class you desire, it is possible to select the same course at another time or location. As mentioned, it is recommended, but not required that the courses be taken in order.
Approximately one week before the class starts, you will receive a personal email from our office staff with the details of the class, directions, and important telephone numbers. This is not an automated response and could change with each class.
