The Advanced Project Management Certificate is intended for individuals who have experience as project managers and have either completed our Project Management program or some equivalent. Instructors assume that participants have prior exposure to the Project Management Institute (PMI) and its Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Those new to project management or who lack essential training in project planning and team management should earn our core Project Management Certificate before considering the advanced courses.

To earn our Advanced Project Management Certificate, you must complete 42 hours from the seminars available within a three-year period.

• Estimating and Controlling Project Schedules and Budgets (14 hrs)
• Managing Multiple Projects (7 hrs)
• PMP Exam Prep (14 hrs)
• Managing Project Risk (7 hrs)
• Emotional Intelligence for Project Managers (14 hrs)
• Facilitating Project Meetings (14 hrs)
• Program Management (7 hrs)
• Collaborating in Cross-Functional Teams (7 hrs)

All seminars are available individually without having to complete the certificate, or you can take them all.

   These classes are offered during the day from 8:30am – 4:30pm in downtown Portland at the Residence Inn at RiverPlace, 2115 SW River Parkway.

   The Advanced Project Management certificate is built on the same principles of success as our core Project Management Certificate. Specifically, the attention to a satisfied student experience, instructor excellence, and current trends in the field. In addition, our program is a recognized partner with the Portland chapter of the PMI, as well as Portland’s Program Management Forum.

3. Expert instruction
   
   We select our instructors for their real-world experience managing projects and their ability to lead effective courses. Class sessions are highly engaging with lots of opportunity to apply what you’re learning. Homework in this program is minimal. Our goal is to teach you skills and techniques to use immediately.

   Our courses attract professionals from organizations all over the region, giving you a great opportunity to expand your professional community.

5. CEUs/PDUs
   
   Our classes are recognized by PMI (Project Management International) for their Professional Development Units (PDU) requirements. PDUs are equal to the number of hours in the class. Thus, if a class is 7 hours long, the number of PDUs would also be 7. CEUs, however, are equal to 1/10 the hours of the class, so the same class at 7 hours long would be worth .7 CEUs.
