Frequently Asked Questions

What will I get out of the conference?
Managing Projects & Programs offers you a day of training on the latest tools and ideas for managing projects and programs successfully. You walk away from this event with knowledge that you can put to work immediately. The conference also gives you a chance to meet your peers in the business community, exchange ideas, and get a sense of possibilities in your career.

I haven't completed the Professional Development Center's Project Management Program. Can I attend the conference?
Absolutely! The conference is intended for anyone working on projects or programs, regardless of prior training or education. We typically attract a mix of program alumni and newcomers, some of whom have gone on to complete the Project Management Program. This conference gives you a good taste of the engaging, interactive, and highly practical learning that we provide in our courses and events.

Do I get Professional Development Units (PDUs) or Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for attending the conference?
Yes. The conference awards you 5 PDUs or .5 CEUs.

How can I be involved in future Managing Projects & Programs conferences?
Given the success of our first five years, we are excited for this year's event and the years ahead. We welcome your input on important topics to cover, presenters who might be a good fit (including yourself perhaps), and potential sponsors. If you have input to give, email conference director Ryan Brown at browncr@pdx.edu.

How can I register for the event?
You can register in a variety of ways by clicking the Registration link on the upper left side of this page. If you are having trouble with this website, call us at 503-725-4832. Note that the event code for this year's Managing Projects & Programs is BP199-308A.

What if I miss the online registration window for the event?
If you want to attend the conference but have missed the online registration window that closes Monday, July 14, you can register at the conference itself for the same price.

Can I register now and pay later?
You pay for the conference at the time of registration. We accept Visa or MasterCard, checks, or company purchase orders. Please note that, if you use a company purchase order, you will be required to provide a Social Security number.

What is your refund policy?
We offer full refunds for cancellations five (5) or more business days prior to the event. Cancellations one to four (1-4) days prior to the event incur a $25 processing fee. There are no refunds on the day of the event or beyond.
