"Learning is not required...neither is survival."

-W. Edwards Deming

The challenges facing healthcare managers today are many, but our research has determined that an effective manager must understand six clear core areas within healthcare in order to effectively address these challenges on a daily basis. To teach these courses, we have identified practicing experts from local industry who have the ability to transfer their knowledge into digestible classroom experiences. Course content covers technology, economics, finance, management and leadership, quality, and cultural competence. An individual can attend class in the evening and then go to work the next day and apply what they have learned. One can immediately impact their personal on-the-job performance and eventually improve their career in healthcare.

NWHF Logo These classes are fun, interesting, and completely relevant to students' work experiences. They all include compelling conversation, peer-to-peer and instructor-to-student. Most faculty incorporate guest speakers, experiential learning exercises such as group discussion and presentation, and additional reading for those students with a desire to dig deeper into the theory behind any given concept.
