Healthcare Management Certificate
Industry research has determined that an effective healthcare manager or hospital manager, must understand six core competencies in order to effectively address daily healthcare management challenges. Students attend class in the evening and then use what they have learned the very next day. You can immediately impact your personal on-the-job performance and improve your career in healthcare. The Healthcare Management Certificate courses cover:

Healthcare Leadership Certificate
This advanced series covers innovative approaches to new healthcare challenges in leadership. Students taking these courses have advanced experience as healthcare managers and have either completed our Management Certificate or some professional or degree equivalent. Instructors assume that participants have had significant prior exposure to the healthcare industry whether in hospital management or healthcare leadership. Topics include:

  • Management ethics
  • Strategy design
  • Developing policy
  • Change management

All our classes are small and include collaborative conversation—both peer-to-peer and instructor-to-student. Faculty incorporate guest speakers, experiential learning exercises, and additional reading to further explore the theory behind any given concept.

 

The Professional Development Center’s instructors are industry experts who share a passion for teaching and collaborative learning. Classes are designed to provide real-world and highly applicable instruction.
