Healthcare Economic Trends and
Impact. Begins Tuesday, May 6. details
here.
If you are a believer that past
performance is a strong indicator of future performance.
You will be pleased to know that this year we have the
luxury of sharing with you comments from past students
of the Economic Trends & Impact course. When we
asked what they liked best:
- The depth to which Dr. Weiland took us into the
subject, the outside presenters, and the level the
preparation Dr. Weiland did to teach the course. He is
very knowledgeable.
- All the reading material
- Lectures by Dr. Weiland were most interesting;
thought provoking, and relate to me
- The Guest speakers brought a breath of knowledge
that a single instructor could not have done
- Dr. Weiland challenged me to question what I
thought I knew and ask questions I hadn't before
- The materials available
- The guest speakers and the level of knowledge from
Dr. Weiland
- Great Instructor and great guest speakers; very
well-rounded
- No topic was off limits
- The opportunity for interaction
- The topics, the readings- I have really enjoyed
the books
- Exploring the reasons our health care system is
broken and looking at solutions
And that
is an abbreviated snapshot of student comments from last
year.
Spring is a great time to take advantage
of the longer days. Consider spending one night a week
in class the month of May. The course has an unusual schedule
course; with an all day session on Friday, May 23, but I
am confident the session will energize you for the three
day weekend. Give me a call if you have questions, or
register here.
We would love to have you join the class.

will be talking from the health care industry -
including the keynote! So, if you are a project manager
or program manager of any kind, you will want to take
advantage of the early registration. Or better yet, talk
to Ryan
Brown about sponsorship so you can get an even
better price on group tickets.

The School of Extended Studies is moving to 1515
SW 5th Ave. This is going to be a busy summer
for PSU's School of Extended Studies. We will be moving
to what many call the 1515 building at the intersection
of SW 5th & Clay. This is good news in many ways. We
will be right on the new MAX line, bus mall and my
personal favorite the streetcar. We will have limited
parking in the building. But what all of us here at the
Professional Development Center are a twitter about is
our own classroom space on 10th floor. We are very
excited about the possiblities and opportunities this
reveals. More to come as our leadership defines next
steps.
****** Until the move all Management
classes including BQ220 will be held here at the OEMBA
facility at 200 SW Market Street. |
