Healthcare Management

The Healthcare Management: Leadership Certificate is intended for individuals looking for innovative approaches to new leadership challenges. The course content covers contemporary issues lead by expert practitioners.

Students taking these courses have advanced experience as healthcare managers and have either completed our Healthcare Management Certificate or some professional or degreed equivalent. Instructors assume that participants have significant prior exposure to the healthcare industry, management, and leadership.

Our class sizes are very small; no more than 20 students participate in each cohort, so there is plenty of opportunity for debate and discussion, even specific challenges presented by students themselves. As an example of the advanced work students are asked of in class, the Developing Healthcare Policy students will be actually be drafting legislation to be proposed to the Oregon Legislature. See how an oregon legislator will help healthcare professionals draft a proposal for the next legislative session at "Homework could end up in Hopper".
