SUPERVISION AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Audience: 30 first-level supervisors for a medical equipment manufacturing company
Format: Six 12-hour classes and one six-hour seminar taught in three-hour segments over a five-month period
Note: This program is being repeated in the next fiscal year for a new cadre of employees
Frequency: One three-hour class segment per week.

Program outline:

  1. Team building and employee development
  2. Effective supervisory communications
  3. Coaching and performance management
  4. Human resource management for supervisors
  5. Workflow management and problem solving
  6. When performance creates conflict


PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

Audience: Approximately 200 employees of a health-care organization involved in Information Technology operations for the group
Format: Data collection, management seminar, special project seminar, and general workshops for all employees
Frequency: Two management seminars at four-hours, One special project seminar at 12-hours, and nine general seminars at six-hours

Program Outline:

  1. Management expectations and sponsor responsibilities in project management
  2. Project planning for a major data conversion project
  3. Project planning and organization for project managers and program leads

UNDERSTANDING INDUSTRIAL DYNAMICS

Audience: 25 supervisors of a major airline industry manufacturing facility
Format: One 3-hour seminar per week taught in the late-afternoon. Taught completely from an experiential perspective
Frequency: One seminar per week for five weeks

Outline:

  1. Understanding supply chains
  2. Forecasting and planning
  3. The theory of constraints
  4. Process control
  5. Negotiation throughout the supply chain
